When booking a home massage with Tirta Kirana, the two most popular modalities are our classic Traditional Massage and the restorative Hot Stone Massage. While both promote deep relaxation and stress release, their mechanisms of action and benefits differ substantially.

The Essence of Traditional Indonesian Massage

Our Traditional Massage draws on centuries of Balinese and Javanese bodywork tradition. Using natural warm botanical oils, your therapist applies rhythmic palm pressure, long strokes, and gentle thumb acupressure along the body's energy pathways:

  • Stimulates blood circulation and accelerates lymph drainage.
  • Eases general muscular fatigue from day-to-day stress.
  • Allows full customization of pressure level from gentle relaxation to firm deep tissue.
  • Available in flexible durations: 60 min (IDR 250,000), 90 min (IDR 375,000), and 120 min (IDR 450,000).

The Therapeutic Power of Hot Stone Therapy

Hot Stone Massage harnesses heated basalt volcanic stones placed on specific anatomical landmarks along the spine, sacrum, and palms. The high iron content of basalt retains heat and gently radiates it deep into muscular fibres:

  • Penetrates up to 4–5 centimetres into deep tissue layers without excessive physical force.
  • Melts stubborn knots and chronic stiffness far quicker than hand friction alone.
  • Soothes the sympathetic nervous system, inducing a tranquil meditative state ideal for combating insomnia.
  • Conducted in a luxurious 75-minute treatment (IDR 375,000) combining stone placement and heated sliding strokes.

When to Choose Hot Stone Massage

Opt for Hot Stone Massage if you suffer from chronic lower back tension, spend long hours in air-conditioned Jakarta offices, or feel emotionally exhausted. The gentle, penetrating warmth provides unparalleled nervous system relief.

When to Choose Traditional Massage

Choose Traditional Massage if you want an invigorating, head-to-toe muscular reset, prefer manual friction and stretching, or simply need an all-round revitalising session after a demanding work week.

Whichever you select, Tirta Kirana brings all necessary heating units, fresh linens, and oils directly to your home anywhere across Jabodetabek.
